Comenius School is a spirit-filled school with classes for Three year olds to 5th Grade. At Comenius, our passionate teachers strive to engage students in their learning journey through innovative and dynamic teaching methods. Adaptive Curriculum
We adapt to the students' learning style instead of having a student adapt to a learning system that may or may not work for how they learn. Every kid is different. We are continually adjusting our curriculum and teaching to best fit your child’s learning system.
Parent Partnership
We partner with the family to create an individualized learning plan that best suits your child and makes life a lot easier for you. Our parents are the experts on their children. When a student falls behind, or shows signs of lacking confidence we know it is time to identify a new way for the to learn.
Emotional Awareness / Identity Security
We teach children how to identify their emotions and advocate for themselves, then we are able to find solutions and create resolutions. This will bring emotional stability for your child and more peace in the family dynamic. We want our students to be secure in who they are. We have biblical training on who created them and what God's promises are for their lives. We develop proactive students with no fear of speaking, leading and creating.
Gift Acceleration
God has given every child certain gifts and we help identify their gifts. Our goal is to create a learning environment that is adaptable to the growth of those gifts. This then can shift a student's perspective on how they do school, how they do life, and how they develop- mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Leadership
Our students are learning to be servant leaders; ones who are patient, listening to the thoughts of others and serving others. We empower them, through the truth of the scriptures, to understand how Jesus led. Through learning, understanding of gifts, awareness of themselves and others, and maturity in their identity our students are learning the value of wholesome leadership.
Spiritual Maturity
Our students learn about the gift of salvation, how to pray, how to worship and the Great Commission. We teach our students how to live daily with a fresh revelation of God's plan for their lives. .
4 Day School Week
Our school weeks run, Monday-Thursday, 9:00am to 3:00pm focus for our students is not only learn at school but also at home. The Fridays at home are meant to be spent learning through play.
The Basics
After School Care
We have an after school program for our students. This is available from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm. During this time, students have a schedule on activities including snack, play and extra-curricular activates. On Mondays & Tuesdays, students can enroll for piano and vocal lessons.
Individualized Learning
Our focus is the growth of our students. From testing, and daily interaction, we access the progress of our students. The Comenius Staff is focused on providing an educational learning plan of success.
Piano & Vocal Lessons
To increase the creativity opportunities for our students, we have partnered with Jenn Duncan Studios. The lessons are available from 1pm to 5pm, Monday and Tuesday.
Tutoring
Does your student struggle with learning math or reading? With COVID, many parents are seeing areas where their students have not learned the basics in math and reading. To support our families, we provide personal tutoring for our students.
Dance & Worship
Along with piano and vocals, our students have the opportunity to learn more about the creative expressions of dance.
